Impossible Nation

Impossible Nation was a partnership between Travelling Gallery and National Galleries of Scotland Outreach team and featured the work of 8 contemporary Scottish artists. This exhibition was a graphic representation of the challenge to define what it means to be Scottish.

The interior of the Travelling Gallery was completely transformed by the artists, using every available surface and combining a range of media including drawing, painting, spray painting, sculpture, paste-ups and projections to explore themes of identity, landscape, portraiture and culture.
