Design in Motion
13th February to 21st June 2015
The Travelling Gallery's Spring 2015 tour was a collaboration with V&A Dundee, and the gallery looked very different both inside and out.
The tour took exhibits, designers and the V&A team across the country, connecting communities with Scotland's design heritage and raising awareness of the talent in Scotland's present-day design industries.
The exhibition, brought to life by DJCAD-trained designer Gabrielle Underwood, showcased seven innovative designers currently working with digital technology to push the boundaries of their discipline withing games, jewellery, fashion, textiles and built heritage.
The exhibition featured designers Geoffrey Mann, Sophia George, Anarkik 3D, Sara Robertson and Sarah Taylor, Lynne McLachlan, Digital Design Studio and Holly Fulton. The exhibition was curated in a typically innovative fashion, with an expert advisory group contributing their suggestions for content through a series of dedicated pinterest boards.
The tour launched in Dundee on February 13th, before embarking on a 17 week journey, visiting venues across Scotland and with a final stop at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in June.
